I received an email from my friend Windell, who forwarded the attached email and picture: "Now this is real class !


I SURE WISH WE HAD HIM BACK!!!!!

I got the following from my friend Jim, in Florida.

Randy Royer, from Dothan, was a shooting victim at Ft. Hood.  A man had his television on in his office when the news of the military base shootings came on. One of his employees husband was station at Ft. Hood.

He call the employee into his office and the minute he told her what was going on, she recieved a text message from her her husband saying, "I'm okay."

The cell phone started ringing right after that. It was an ER nurse. She said , "I'm the one who just sent you a text, not your husband."  She thought the message would be comforting, but she immediately knew she
had to let the wife know what was going on. She said, "I am sorry but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery."  (Later learned that he had been hit twice).

The wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan and drove all night.  Miraculously, here is the photo I just received from my brother that was taken today in the hospital room. He is awake and will recover. His wife,who lives in Dothan, made it to Ft. Hood about the time he was waking up.

Thought I'd share this great outcome.

Honor Code for the elected

Then there is this, “I will not lie, cheat or steal, nor tolerate those who do.” The United States military academies train men and women of character to become LEADERS OF CHARACTER. This is the basic premise of the honor code to which each must adhere or face her or his expulsion from the respective military academy. It seems to me that what is expected of the finest among our nation who are deemed qualified to attend one of the nation’s military academies should also be expected of those who say that she or he is worthy of our vote and our trust – specifically anyone who is elected to public office especially to Federal office. If these young men and women of character indeed become Leaders of Character within his or her chosen military service then it should also be expected that the Commander-in-Chief should be held to the highest possible standards of leadership that the subordinate Leaders are held to. If you are going to lead Leaders of Character you had better be at a minimum at least as disciplined as your most disciplined Leader of Character.

So I now call upon CINCO (Comrade-in-Chief Obama) to own up to the truth. Congress and the Senate be truthful. Attorney General Holder – stop lying. Press Secretary and head Slanderer speak truthfully.

Take Responsibility

There are four right answers to most questions (notice the courtesy):
1. Yes sir.
2. No ma’am.
3. I don’t know sir but I’ll find out.
4. No excuse ma’am.

These answers are meant for the person who responds to take responsibility for her or his actions. Notice that numbers 1 and 2 do NOT have a BUT associated with them. There is no, “Yes…but I have a good excuse.” Or “No…but you see it was like this.” When asked a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ question answer yes or no.

If you don’t know the answer as in number 3, say so. Then go find the answer and come back to the person who asked the question with the correct answer. Do not make one up or guess – neither is a correct answer and only taints your future actions and responses.

Number 4 is critical – never make an excuse for your behavior, words or actions. If you are asked why something happened; state the facts; do not begin to make excuses about why something didn’t work. It is in the statement of process of how something occurred that we can identify where corrective actions need to be implemented. MAKE NO EXCUSES.
