Some are more equal than others

How is it that we have papers from graduate studies that Republican candidates produced twenty odd years ago yet the President cannot and will not produce his? How is it that his universities won’t release his papers but Republican candidates’ papers are released? “RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia's Republican candidate for governor said Monday he no longer believes his argument in a graduate thesis written 20 years ago that discrimination against gays and other groups is acceptable for the benefit of straight, married couples. Bob McDonnell's research paper, first reported Sunday by The Washington Post, shakes up what had been a smooth campaign. McDonnell has maintained a clear lead over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds in statewide polling.” The double standard is breathtaking and disgusting. Where does this permissive attitude toward democrat demagoguery stop? It doesn’t matter how minor or major a Republican sin may be they all have the same magnitude on the political Richter scale when the Democrat strategists get hold of it.

I haven’t read what McDonnell wrote. I don’t know what he has written about anything and do not trust the press in this country or any other for that fact, to get it right. That said, I believe that God created us in His image; an image that is not to be destroyed or to be besmirched. If McDonnell wrote truths concerning out-of-marriage relationships then he should stand by his truths. If he published something just to be ‘politically-correct’ within his educational strata then he needs to repudiate that paper and perhaps discuss the paper in a clear way as to his current beliefs thus revealing his spiritual growth or political transformation. Whatever the intent of his paper, the same scrutiny should be applied to all candidates for office: Whatever you wrote and was published is open for all to see. All of your records from birth certificates to transcripts from every school and every organization you’ve ever been a part of.

The double standard being applied by the press in our Nation today makes Orwell’s Animal Farm look like Lampoon’s Animal House
